Today, I have the pleasure of releasing publicly a call for papers for the leading journal Security Dialogue entitled Doing and Mediating Critique. With my colleagues, Rocco Bellanova (Peace Research Institute Oslo) and Mareile Kaufmann (University of Oslo), we envisage editing a double special issue of the journal exploring the future of how critique is being ‘done’ in security studies, surveillance studies, criminology, and beyond, and whether or not these fields are ‘leading’ the critique of world political problems or, increasingly, following other actors partaking in critical inquiry.
