Fieldwork

I have conducted extensive ethnographic multi-sited fieldwork within war and conflict settings, humanitarian crisis, and otherwise fragile settings. During fieldwork, I have interviewed perpetrators of political violence, including war crimes like torture, military and police officials, internally displaced people, community leaders, humanitarian professionals, civil society groups, government officials, and others. I have also conducted extensive ethnographic observation of mental health and psychosocial care facilities, prisons and detention environments, and humanitarian compounds.
